Alexander Technique released my pain, and helped me recognize repeated patterns of use that were injuring me. Over time, the release from pain and habits brought me new thoughts and insights as well. In the end, I decided to train as a Teacher.
I completed my 1,600 hours of hands-on training at the Alexander Technique Training Center at Cambridge under Tommy Thompson, followed by 1.5 years of postgraduate study. Tommy Thompson studied with Frank Pearce Jones, and has taught the Alexander Technique for over 40 years.
My training includes a two-year internship under Bob Lada, CTM, in his Performance Awareness class at the Berklee College of Music. In addition, I have taken class with Debi Adams at Boston Conservatory at Berklee in association with their Alexander Technique Teacher Training program.
